Landslide Photo Collections

Searchable USGS Photo and Multimedia Archive with Ordering Information

During the storm from January 7th to 8th, landslides occurred in 19 counties, from the Oregon State border to the Canadian border and from the Pacific Ocean and across the Cascade Mountains. To date, more than 1,500 new landslides have been observed and recorded by the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geology and Earth Resources geologists and others throughout the state, many of these destructive debris avalanches and debris flows that impacted roads, structures, utilities and communities. Over 150 sections of road and more than 50 structures were impacted by landslides.
